Skin Resurfacing
Who is a good candidate?
• You have fine or coarse wrinkles of the skin, usually on
the face.
• You have an uneven skin surface as a result of acne scarring
or small skin growths.
• You have areas of hyperpigmentation (age spots).
Description of the Procedure:
• The procedure is usually done on an outpatient basis under
sedation and local or general anesthesia.
• The superficial layers of the skin are removed using a pulsed
laser. The depth of treatment is extremely controlled and predictable.
• The laser treatment also tightens the skin.
The recovery time is approximately 10 days and the results
are permanent. The skin color can remain pink for up to three months.
