Skin ResurfacingWho is a good candidate?
- You have fine or coarse wrinkles of the skin, usually on the face.
- You have an uneven skin surface as a result of acne scarring or small skin growths.
- You have areas of hyperpigmentation (age spots).
Description of the Procedure
- The procedure is usually done on an outpatient basis under sedation and local or general anesthesia.
- The superficial layers of the skin are removed using a pulsed laser. The depth of treatment is extremely controlled and predictable.
- The laser treatment also tightens the skin.
The recovery time is approximately 10 days and the results are permanent. The skin color can remain pink for up to three months.
