Necklift (Submental Lipectomy)

Who is a good candidate?



  • You have localized deposits of fat in the anterior part of the neck, under the chin.

  • You have muscle laxity under the chin only.

  • You have sagging with skin folds in the anterior part of the neck, under the chin only.

Description of the Procedure



  • The procedure is done on an outpatient basis under sedation and local or general anesthesia.

  • The procedure requires an incision under the chin.

  • Fat is suctioned or excised.

  • Muscles may be tightened.



Recovery time is approximately one week and the results are generally permanent.
