Microblading is the embroidery of small, precisely placed strokes that create the illusion of tiny individual eyebrow hairs. The effect is both natural and stunning. This procedure is ideal for filling in sparse areas, defining and enhancing shape, or fully reconstructing eyebrows. Through this process, pigment is implanted into the skin.
A special hand-held microblading tool is used to create the hair-like strokes while implanting semi-permanent pigment into the skin. The pigment used in microblading is iron oxide-based — the same ingredient used in foundation, lipstick, eyeshadow and blush. This color will not fade to blue, purple, green or orange — unlike the results from tattooing. With the proper technique, microbladed eyebrow results look completely natural and require no daily upkeep.
The results typically last one to two years, depending on skin type and lifestyle. We recommend that a touch-up be performed in 12 to 18 months, to keep the color looking vibrant and the microblade strokes looking fresh.
